Lockheed Martin FAIR requirements: Q2A and AS9102 prep
Use this as a public-source orientation only. Lockheed Martin purchase-order clauses and buyer direction control the actual requirement for a supplier FAIR.

Q2A signals to plan around
| Q2A topic | Supplier prep action |
|---|---|
| Concurrent use with AS9102 | Read Q2A together with AS9102 and the purchase-order language instead of treating AS9102 alone as complete. |
| Buyer authority | Route interpretation questions through the buyer path named by the PO or clause. |
| Sub-tier flowdown | Make sure processors and sub-tier suppliers receive the applicable FAI requirements. |
| Design characteristics | Account for all technical-data-package characteristics that can affect fit, form, or function. |
| FAI planning | Plan before the first production deliverable; do not let FAIR creation become a shipment-day paperwork exercise. |
Review focus
For Lockheed Martin work, the risky gaps are not only blank Form 3 results. They are missing embedded design characteristics, unclear buyer-authorized interpretations, weak sub-tier evidence, and a package that cannot show how the first production run validated product-realization planning.

FAQ
Does Q2A replace AS9102?
No. Q2A is buyer-unique direction that must be read with AS9102 when it is flowed on Lockheed Martin Aeronautics work.
Can a supplier decide FAI by similarity on its own?
Do not assume that. Use the purchase-order clause and buyer direction for any similarity, exclusion, or interpretation decision.
