Net-Inspect supplier guide

The supplier guide to Net-Inspect FAIRs

Net-Inspect is often the customer-facing place where a FAIR is submitted and reviewed. Suppliers still need a clean AS9102 package before they type or import anything into the portal.

Supplier workflow

  1. Confirm the customer mandate, purchase-order clauses, and whether Net-Inspect submission is required.
  2. Prepare Forms 1-3 from controlled drawing and production evidence before portal entry.
  3. Attach material certificates, process certificates, CMM reports, nonconformance dispositions, and source drawings.
  4. If importing measurements, export the current Net-Inspect template from the customer workflow and validate the column layout before relying on any upload.
  5. Run a pre-submit review for missing Form 3 results, incomplete Form 2 evidence, and unsigned Form 1 approvals.
  6. Submit through Net-Inspect or the customer portal only after the package is internally review-ready.

What Net-Inspect does

Net-Inspect describes FAI software for creating, reviewing, sending, receiving, approving, and tracking FAIRs across supplier/customer workflows. Public customer announcements also describe online buyoff, FAIR linking for assemblies, and attaching supporting files.

Pre-submit checks

Check Why it matters
Field 14 reason Rev C expects a reason for full or partial FAI.
Form 2 certificate numbers Missing material or process evidence creates review loops.
Form 3 blank results A row without objective evidence is not ready for approval.
Assembly FAIR links Higher-level FAIRs can depend on detail and sub-assembly traceability.
Portal format Customer templates and import columns can differ from internal spreadsheets; use the current exported template as the source of truth.

Frequently asked questions

Is this page affiliated with Net-Inspect?

No. Net-Inspect is named descriptively because many suppliers are required by customers to submit FAIRs there.

Can Articul replace a customer-mandated Net-Inspect submission?

No. If the customer mandates Net-Inspect, submit there. Articul helps prepare and review the FAIR before that submission step; any Net-Inspect import template should be validated against the customer's current portal workflow.

Prepare the FAIR before the rework starts

Articul pre-fills Forms 1-3 from the print and routes anything uncertain to you, including drawing notes and title-block fields, while keeping the review tied to the source drawing.

Upload a drawing

Hosted upload is for non-controlled drawings only. Do not upload export-controlled (ITAR/EAR) technical data to hosted; ask about self-host.
