Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy

Use of Articul
Articul provides AS9102 First Article Inspection workflow software for creating, reviewing, approving, and exporting FAIR packages. You are responsible for the accuracy of submitted information, the suitability of inspection decisions, and compliance with purchase orders, customer flowdowns, export-control obligations, and applicable law.
Articul is not legal advice, export-control advice, or a substitute for inspection judgment. These terms are intended as an operating baseline and should be reviewed by counsel before enterprise, defense, or regulated procurement use.
Accounts and customer data
You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, and ensure that only authorized users access your organization. You retain ownership of drawings, inspection records, certificates, approvals, comments, and other customer data submitted to the service.
You grant Articul the limited permission needed to host, process, display, validate, and export customer data for your organization and to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
Acceptable use and export-control boundary
Hosted Articul must not be used to upload, process, store, or transmit export-controlled technical data, including ITAR-controlled technical data or EAR-controlled technology. Hosted extraction runs in commercial infrastructure and may send drawing content to configured extraction services.
If your work involves controlled defense articles, technical data, controlled technology, sanctions restrictions, classified information, or customer flowdowns that require customer-controlled infrastructure, use the self-host path and confirm requirements with your export-control counsel before uploading.
You must not use Articul to violate export controls, sanctions, security requirements, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or laws governing your data. We may suspend access or remove data from hosted systems if we reasonably believe the service is being used in violation of this policy.
Hosted extraction subprocessors
Hosted extraction may use configured commercial subprocessors, including OpenAI and Anthropic, to process drawing content and extraction prompts. Provider availability and retention controls can vary by deployment and account configuration. Self-host deployments can use customer-managed extraction endpoints instead.
Billing, trials, and termination
Paid hosted plans may include a free trial, included usage, metered overage, and plan limits as shown in the plan catalog. You are responsible for fees, taxes, and usage by authorized users. You may cancel a hosted subscription at the end of the billing period where self-service billing is configured.
Either party may terminate access according to the applicable order, plan terms, or written agreement. We may preserve records as needed for billing, security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or backup integrity.
Disclaimers and limits
Articul is provided as workflow software. We do not guarantee that extracted values, validation results, forms, exports, or suggestions are complete, compliant, or accepted by any customer, auditor, regulator, or prime contractor. You must review and approve the FAIR package before use.
